It is for internal use only – not client facing; it may become client facing at some point if they make it web-based (it currently is not). Having a project management tool is an important step for a company expanding into national, large scale projects.

Scarab is trying to expands it's reputation as a regional eDiscovery service provider that has the capabilities of handling both small and large projects which indicates an ability to dynamically staff and run projects based on customer need. Scarab has created specific workflows and delivery organizations to service the different types of engagements. Company claims to be in the process of doubling its sales force (have hired 3 new people and have another 3 outstanding requisitions); sales force is geographic-based (3 Houston, 1 Austin, looking for 2 in Dallas); have 2 in Chicago and looking for 1 in Pittsburgh and 2 in NYC..

While the company has been regarded as appropriate for smaller projects only, that reputation is gradually changing as the market realizes how the company has grown in the past few years. eDJ Group will be tracking Scarab further as our coverage of eDiscovery service providers expands.
