CAAT SmartSample™ and SmartTrain™ processes optimize the conceptual relevance and diversity of sample sets used in PC/TAR workflows. Many service providers have manual pre-processing and prioritization workflows that can be difficult to quantify, validate or understand the impact on relevance training. eDJ has not seen CAAT partners advertising this differentiating functionality, which makes eDJ wonder if some partners have a level of implementation lag in their products.

CAAT LSI index is held in the live memory. This allows the system to dynamically re-cluster without reprocessing. This gives the system a performance advantage over some analytic engines, but the size of the index will be limited by the available memory. CAAT has a good track record with large collections, but consumers with very large collections should ask hard questions about their provider's history with running analytics on similarly sized collections. It is important to remember that managing high memory processes in cloud and virtual environments raises the level of support expertise required.

CAAT Definer: "Operational Front End" Admin tool to create and define categories. Currently 2 level hierarchy. Not end to end doc review workflow app, not a document repository. You need to know what your categories are when you start and what types of dox in a "truth set" -- seed set. for quality control for the examples. A "file plan" is a pre defined taxonomy with a hierarchy and example documents good for records management, compliance management. Technology stemmed from helping users find info, dox, products on a web site. Can also be used for defensible deletion. Not sure if this functionality is currently available or just in beta as of 201309.
